Why is my device showing offline?

If you sign into Command Center and you see that your Untangle appliance is grayed out, first verify that the appliance meets the requirements to manage a device in Command Center. In particular, please note that v12.2 is the minimum version required to connect to this service; any lower/older version cannot be managed through Command Center.

If it meets all those requirements, here are a few things to try:

  • Refresh the Appliance page in Command Center without cached contents (usually Ctrl + F5)

  • On the Untangle itself, go to Config > System > Support and ensure that 'connect to Command Center' is checked. If it is currently checked, un-check it and click Save at the bottom right-hand corner, then re-check it and save again.


  • On the Untangle itself, click the silhouette icon at the top right-hand corner and select Account Settings. This will bring you to the Command Center login page. Log in as normal, then try refreshing the Appliances page.


  • Log out of Command Center, manually clear your browser's cache, and close all browser windows. Next, open a new browser window, head back to https://untangle.com/cmd, and log back in.
