There are times when a spam message can be received by a user, even when the Spam Blocker application is in use.
Most often, the message originates from within the network and the traffic does not actually go through the Untangle. Therefore the email message is never scanned.
Other reasons could include:
- An outside account being compromised and a user has added them to their safe list.
- There could be the rare email that is crafted in such a way, that it receives a low enough score to pass under the spam threshold limit set within the spam blocker application.
